Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, accounts payable, and receivable.Ensure proper classification and recording of financial transactions.Review journal entries, accruals, and provisions prepared by the accounting team.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.Review reports for financial accuracy and completeness.Manage and ensure timely and accurate monthly closing activities. Reconcile sub-ledgers with the general ledger (AP, AR, inventory, FA).Ensure completeness of the closing checklist and compliance with corporate deadlines.Coordinate with other departments for closing schedules, cut-off, and intercompany reconciliations.Maintain and improve internal control systems in accordance with corporate compliance guidelines.Monitor and implement accounting policies and procedures.Support internal and external audit requirements with documentation, walkthroughs, and reconciliations.Ensure compliance with tax laws (VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax) and liaise with tax consultants and authorities.Supervise and develop a team of accountants and clerks responsible for GL, AP, AR, FA and tax.Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and coach staff.Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost accounting.Review inventory reconciliations, product costing, and cost center.Work with the FP&A team on cost allocations and variance analysis.Oversee fixed asset capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and transfers.Ensure asset tagging, physical verification, and reconciliation. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.Experience in manufacturing or the FMCG industry is strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of Egyptian accounting standards and tax regulations.Strong leadership and team management skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting toolsDetail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven. Strong understanding of IFRS/local GAAP and tax laws. Excellent Command of the English language skills.CMA, IFRS certificate is preferred.
