Job Summary: The Accounting Section Head is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the accounting team at Linah Group, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all financial processes.This role oversees key functions within the accounting cycle—including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting—while reviewing team outputs, maintaining effective internal controls, and supporting audit and closing activities.The Accounting Section Head also acts as a key link between the Accounting Manager and the team, ensuring proper task allocation, performance monitoring, and continuous process improvement.Role Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure proper accounting treatment and accurate presentationEnsure the completeness and existence and accuracy of the documentationEnsure that the assets, liabilities, equities, revenues and expenditures are properly stated and accounted for in the GLSetting preventive and detection controls to avoid and detect any cash embezzlement and misrepresentation of the financial records Lead and manage a team of eight professionals, including selection/hiring, objective setting, performance management, coaching/development and trainingReview of all financial reports, including Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows, as well as the year-end financial reports Review the quarter accruals and assess the necessity for forming provisions Ensuring segregation of duties "SOD" by quarterly reviewing the team tasks to ensure that the one who book the accounting transaction different than the one who review/post the accounting transaction different than the one who has the custody of cash and cheques different than the one who reconcile the accounts. Responsible for all accounting activities compliance with the Company Policies and Procedures and the statuary requirementsCompliance with tax laws and regulations and also compliance with the submission of tax returns in the due dates Work with the external auditors during the audits and reviews to ensure full cooperation from accounting staff and compliance with all qualified requests. Key Performance Indicators:Completion of 100% of the suppliers and customers invoices related to the month endAccurate recording of the supplier's and customers invoices with accuracy of 100%Preparing Statement of P&L (only after 5 working days from the following month)Preparing and reviewing all the monthly analysis/breakdowns for B/S significant accounts and ensure its completeness and existence of its closing balance by 100% accuracyEnsure the matching of 100% of all purchase orders versus the supplier's invoices and goods receiving notes before posting the journal entriesPrepare monthly reconciliation to ensure that there is outstanding difference between AP and AR Subledger and GL before closing the accounting periodDaily coaching the team and providing the needed support to ensure proper understanding and accurate applications of their duties through training and official meeting at least once per weekRequirementsEducational Background: Bachelor's degree in accounting/financeCMA or MBA is a preferred IFRS is a plusJob Requirements:From 7 to 10 years of experience of solid accounting and finance background in a holding company or FMCGStrong knowledge and practice of accounting principles, and standardsProficiency in ERP systems (MS Dynamics 365 is a plus)A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role is requiredBenefitsAnnual BonusFamily medical insuranceCareer growthLearning & Development programs
