Job description: Purpose of the Job As an Air Freight Specialist at Aramex, you will be the primary point of contact for clients regarding air freight inquiries. Your role is pivotal in maintaining strong client relationships, while also delivering tailored freight solutions to meet their specific needs. You will play a crucial part in procuring competitive rates, managing shipments from start to finish, and supporting the sales team in securing new business opportunities. Job Description Coordinate with sales team, agents & Aramex offices to ensure all RFQ’s are answered & ensure to achieve their target. Communicate to sales, agents & Aramex offices for any new offers and/or promotions that customers can benefit from. Approach airline & vendors for net cost. Negotiate & follow the airlines policies, trucker, clearance vendors & push to for reduced costs. Maintain good relationship with vendors (airlines, trucking suppliers, packing companies) for proper handling. Up-load all quotations on system. Follow day to day shipments with airlines & vendors. Follow the payment flow to airlines & vendors in case any delays or discrepancies. Interfere with accounting team to facilitate any payment issues for vendors & airlines. Follow the files closing closely with invoicing & settle the cases showing losses or agents debates. Job Requirements - Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree in logistics field will be preferable. 0-1 year relevant working experience freight forwarder preferably in Export Air freight Sector Experience with directly handling airline bookings. Good working knowledge in MS Office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel. Knowledge in MS Access is a plus. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel intermediates to advance formulas and macros. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong coordination skills among various work groups and with different levels. Good organizational and problem-solving skills. Proactive team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to do overtime during certain time of the year. Work location: Airport
