Our mission is to establish Syntegon as a major regional partner for Food and Pharma and to improve the quality of life in Middle East & Africa by accompanying & supporting our customers to deliver the best & highest-quality products.Job DescriptionPosition Summary:Responsible for the order intake (Sales Support) of Food Packaging machinery over an assigned territory within the Middle East Region. Actively becoming the main contact person for all Food customers within the region of focus, establishing long-term partnerships based on success and trust. Developing initiatives that maximize sales activities, while ensuring proper coordination during the whole project execution timeline beginning with securing the deal itself, all the way through kick-off meetings, manufacturing stages, final delivery, startup and validation at the customer site.Essential Functions:Customer visits within the assigned region to bring new leads and opportunities.Developing good technical knowledge about the company’s portfolio enabling effective contribution in customer meetings and technical discussions with the plantsCreate a development strategy within the area of focus in coordination with the Syntegon PlantsDeveloping sales strategies and plans to achieve targets and profit goalsClear Focus on enriching the pipeline and development of new clientsAssuring customer satisfaction which leads to repeat ordersSupport in contract negotiationsMarket analysis to define potential new customers and new application areasMonitoring of market trends and competitors within the assigned regionDiscussing commercial terms with clients and following up on open payments.Coordinating all activities between the client and the concerned Manufacturing sitesParticipation at trade fairs and important Food Packaging exhibitions (regional and international)Preparing reports on all sales activities in a timely mannerMaintaining the CRM and project lists up to dateQualificationsCompetencies Required:Proven track record (>5 years)Personal sales experience within the Equipment in General / Packaging Machinery Sector (preferably in Food Processing and Packaging)Well connected and sales-experienced within the Food Production & Packaging Industry Middle East Customer ExperienceExcellent sales and negotiation skillsEffective decision making and problem-solving skillsAbility to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organizationExcellent customer management skills, strong interpersonal skills.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Important features: Dynamic Personality with Pro-active attitudeAchievement record of Sales Success storiesKnowledge of relevant technical issues. Travelling required, both domestic and international, up to 50% of time.
