Job OverviewWe are seeking a versatile and highly creative Art Director to lead our design team while staying "in the weeds" of daily execution. You will be responsible for defining the visual strategy and overarching brand vision, but you must also be capable of rolling up your sleeves to personally create designs, layouts, and final artwork. The ideal candidate thrives in a hybrid role, mentoring a growing team of designers while being the primary architect of high-stakes creative deliverables. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & MentorshipDirect & Inspire: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of designers to ensure creative excellence across all projects.Workflow Management: Oversee production timelines and budgets, delegating tasks effectively while maintaining high-quality output.Feedback & Growth: Provide actionable feedback to "unstuck" team members and foster a collaborative environment that promotes brand understanding.Hands-On Creative ExecutionDirect Design: Personally create and execute complex layouts, typography, and visual concepts for digital and social media.Concept to Completion: Take projects from initial sketches and mood boards all the way to final press-ready or digital files.Technical Support: Provide hands-on design support by creating roughs, comps, and final art as needed to meet deadlines. Creative Strategy & CollaborationVision Alignment: Establish and maintain the visual tone, style, and brand identity standards for all initiatives.Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with copywriters, marketing managers, and stakeholders to translate business goals into compelling visual narratives.Pitch & Present: Confidently present creative concepts and rationale to clients and senior executives, defending design choices while remaining open to feedback.
