Our expertise includes OCTG Services, API & Premium Connection Rethreading, Machine Shop Manufacturing, Repair, Bucking Operations, Welding, Hard banding, and related workshop and field services.Job PurposeWe are seeking a highly experienced Assistant General Manager (Technical) to support the General Manager in leading the company's technical and operational activities. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving technical excellence, improving operational performance, supporting business growth, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements and international industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the General Manager in developing and executing technical and operational strategies.Provide technical leadership across all workshops and field operations.Oversee engineering support for OCTG Services, Machine Shop Manufacturing, Premium Connection Rethreading, Repair, Welding, and Bucking activities.Review technical proposals, operational plans, and major customer requirements.Ensure compliance with API standards, ISO requirements, engineering best practices, and customer specifications.Lead technical problem-solving initiatives and support Root Cause Analysis for critical operational issues.Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and service quality.Support business development by providing technical expertise during customer meetings and tender submissions.Mentor department managers and develop future technical leaders.Promote innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the organization.Regular travel to company workshops and operational sites is required Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. A Master's degree is an advantage.Minimum 10 years of experience within the Oil & Gas or Petroleum Services industry.Minimum 5 years in a senior technical or operational leadership position.Extensive experience in OCTG Services, Machine Shop Operations, Manufacturing, Threading, Premium Connections, Welding, and Oilfield Services.Strong knowledge of API standards, ISO requirements, engineering practices, and operational excellence.Excellent business, technical, and leadership capabilities.Excellent command of written and spoken English is essential.Willingness to travel regularly between the Head Office and operational sites.Personal SkillsStrategic thinking and technical leadership.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.High level of professionalism and integrity.Ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams.Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.
