We are seeking a highly accomplished and results-driven Automation Business Unit Manager to lead and manage all aspects of the Automation Business Unit. This role is responsible for driving strategic direction, overseeing the design and execution of automation solutions, managing site installations, and ensuring operational excellence across all functions. This role combines technical expertise, business strategy, and leadership to deliver innovative solutions and ensure client satisfaction. Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the business unit strategy aligned with company objectives.Lead end-to-end automation projects: design, execution, commissioning, and handover.Oversee site installations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.Drive technical proposals, costing, and pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.Collaborate with sales, engineering, operations, and technical teams for smooth project delivery.Maintain compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) and internal procedures.Prepare and present operational and performance reports to senior management.Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with company goals.Monitor KPIs, conduct performance evaluations, and implement continuous improvement plans.Key Technologies & ExpertiseAutomation Systems: PLCs, SCADA, HMIsSmart Building Solutions: BMS, KNX Smart Home & Building AutomationCentral Battery Systems (advantage)Experience in technical office functions, costing, and project pricingFamiliarity with ERP systems and structured operational workflowsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field9+ years of experience in automation or smart building solutions, including at least 3 years in a managerial roleProven track record of delivering end-to-end automation projectsSolid knowledge of ISO standards, project management methodologies, and operational best practicesCore Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team development abilitiesStrategic thinking and decision-making skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder managementAbility to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environmentAnalytical mindset with problem-solving orientationHigh ownership, accountability, and initiative
