Job Description – BIM Mechanical EngineerPosition TitleBIM Mechanical EngineerDepartmentTechnical Office / EngineeringExperience Required5–7 years of relevant experience in BIM Mechanical Engineering, preferably within construction and MEP projects.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Mechanical BIM models using Autodesk Revit and other BIM software.Prepare detailed Mechanical shop drawings, layouts, and coordinated construction documentation.Perform multidisciplinary model coordination with Architectural, Structural, and MEP teams.Detect and resolve clashes using Navisworks or similar coordination software.Ensure BIM models comply with project specifications, company standards, and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).Coordinate with Technical Office, Site Engineers, Consultants, and Clients to resolve design issues.Generate schedules, quantity take-offs, and material reports from BIM models.Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical support throughout project execution.Review consultant drawings and identify design conflicts before construction.Maintain model accuracy throughout all project phases.Support value engineering initiatives and design optimization.Ensure timely delivery of BIM models and project documentation.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.5–7 years of experience in Mechanical BIM within construction projects.Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems.Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, or infrastructure projects is preferred.Familiarity with international engineering standards and construction practices.Technical SkillsAutodesk Revit (Mechanical)Navisworks ManageAutoCADBIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of Dynamo is an advantageUnderstanding of BIM LOD standards (LOD 200–500)Quantity take-off and shop drawing preparationSoft SkillsStrong communication and coordination skillsExcellent problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detailTime management and ability to meet deadlinesTeam player with the ability to work under pressureStrong analytical and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsBIM Professional Certification is an advantage.Experience working on GCC projects, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is highly preferred.Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM standards is a plus.Experience using Common Data Environments (CDE) is an added advantage.
