This role is highly focused on outbound prospecting, relationship-building, and closing new partnerships, working directly with company leadership to expand the supplier network and drive business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesSupplier ProspectingIdentify emerging spirits brands that could benefit from the company’s servicesResearch new distilleries, brand launches, and suppliers entering the California marketBuild and maintain a pipeline of potential supplier partnersOutbound Business DevelopmentConduct outreach via email, phone, LinkedIn, and industry networksIntroduce prospective suppliers to the company’s distribution platform and servicesQualify potential partners and manage early-stage sales conversationsSupplier AcquisitionPresent the company’s model to brand founders and teamsConvert qualified prospects into signed supplier partnersEnsure supplier agreements are executed and key onboarding information is collectedClient Success HandoffTransition signed supplier accounts to the Director of Client Success for onboarding and executionEnsure a smooth handoff with all required information for successful onboardingIndustry AwarenessMonitor trends and emerging brands within the spirits industryAttend industry events, tastings, and conferences when possibleContinuously identify new partnership opportunitiesQualificationsExperience2–4 years of sales experience, preferably in business development or outbound sales rolesExperience selling into the beverage alcohol industry (preferred)Familiarity with the three-tier distribution system and supplier-distributor relationships (preferred)SkillsStrong prospecting and relationship-building skillsAbility to initiate conversations and engage new contacts confidentlyStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneouslyEntrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independentlyCompetitive and results-driven approach to salesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalOpportunityThis is an opportunity to join an early-stage company and play a key role in building its supplier network from the ground up.
