Description:Responsible for providing non-financial services & technical support and consultancy services for Start-ups &SMEs Entrepreneurs & youth clients. Works under the direct supervision of the BDS Center Manager.TheBDS Advisor is the customers’ focal point within the Business Development Services Center.Responsibilities:1. Responsible for collecting customer’s related data in order to propose new and/or additional servicesbased on each customer’s needs.2. Analyze the current performance of SMEs clients highlighting the tools required for growth.3. Support the customer to develop the business plan, organization registration or licensing, and provideguidance on financial management issues.4. Conduct regular visits to BDS centers & clients, ensuring their requests are fulfilled accurately and in atimely manner & update the database of the BDS Providers accordingly.5. Build up the relation between customers and available sources for finance in order to outreach funds andassist in fulfilling the required documents based on the type of the organization.6. Maintain knowledge of the CBE rules and regulations governing SMEs clients & analyze market needsfor key services and industries.7. Support the customer exporters in obtaining beneficial information, feasibility study and access to local,regional and international markets in specific sectors / industries through trade links, data sharing.8. Linking customers with programs of the Nile Prenuers initiative, other supporting programs bygovernmental and non-governmental organizations, training opportunities, guidance and servicesavailable through the database of the Business Development Services Providers.9. Inform, nominate and/or recommend customers to participate in trade fairs or commercial networkingevents.10. Take initiatives to attract/refer new SMEs companies.11. Evaluate the customer's progress on a periodic basis and recommend further follow-up assistance, ifnecessary.12. Maintain good relationships with customers allowing for better understanding of their needs and enablingthe generation of new business from referrals.13. Analyze the market needs for services & main industries.14. Study the rejected clients due to incompleteness of documents & assist them to fulfill their documents tobe eligible for credit facilities15. Prepare regular reports on the performance of the BDS center , based on the evaluation and follow-upguidance set out in the BDS Procedures Manual.16. Ensure the correct functioning and implementation of the Permanent Supervision, Compliance andMoney Laundering, Operational Risk, and Workplace Success Guidelines whenever and whereverpossible.17. Ensure the correct adoption of policies and procedures in order to guarantee that the bank business isconducted in compliance with Local Laws, Internal Rules and Regulations, as well as, InternationalStandardsJob Specifications:Education:A university graduate of Economics, Commerce, Business Administration/Business Development, Financingor other related discipline. Previous experience in Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), BusinessAdministration and/or Customer service is preferable.Experience:Senior Advisor Min. of 3 years of experience in the relevant fieldAdvisor Min. of 2 years of experience in the relevant fieldSkills:Understand local economic trends & SMEs ecosystem.Ability to develop business plans and assist in their implementation.Basic business knowledge, financial analysis & accounting.Good reporting & communication skills.Ability to analyze work results and workflows.Ability to learn new IT systemsFluent in spoken and written English.Ability to work in small groups & cooperate with other staffWorking Conditions:Occasional external visits for full market knowledge & client visits.
