On behalf of SAWA Foundation · Cairo, EgyptLocation: Cairo, Egypt | Full-time | Reports to the Board of Directors SAWA is an Egyptian foundation working to improve marriage readiness and strengthen family stability We are moving from strategy into building, and we are looking for a strategic CEO to set our direction, build us as an institution, and lead us through this formative phase. What you’ll do Supervise the implementation of SAWA’s strategic directions and translate the board’s framework into a path the organization can act on. Build SAWA as an institution — its model, structure, and ways of working — and recruit, develop, and lead a strong senior team. Own the direction, quality, and credibility of SAWA’s programs, keeping them evidence-led and benchmarked against leading models. Serve as SAWA’s principal voice and build the partnerships its mission depends on — universities, government, funders, and ecosystem partners. Own the funding strategy and be accountable to the board for SAWA’s financial health and sustainability. Partner with the board as its principal executive, bringing strategic options and honest counseling not just updates. What we’re looking for 10–15 years of progressive leadership, including 3+ years at executive level or leading an organization or major initiative. A demonstrated track record of building and growing a social, educational, or public-impact organization or program. Substantive experience navigating government and institutional relations in Egypt (ministries, universities, or public bodies). A proven fundraising and resource-mobilization track record. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred in a relevant field (social sciences, public policy, psychology, public health, or business). Fluent Arabic and strong English. Deep familiarity with the Egyptian social and institutional context, and genuine sensitivity to the family and marriage domain.
