We are looking for individuals who are committed, curious, and passionate about contributing to resilient and inclusive communities.Position SummaryThe Climate Resilience Manager will provide strategic and technical leadership for the design, integration, and implementation of climate resilience and environmental sustainability initiatives across OHF programmes in Aswan.The role will position climate resilience as a cross-cutting priority across sectors including livelihoods, food systems, natural resource management, youth engagement, women’s empowerment, water stewardship, biodiversity conservation, and community resilience.The position will lead efforts to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities facing climate-related risks such as water scarcity, ecosystem degradation, heat stress, and economic vulnerability through community-driven and climate-smart approaches.The role will also support the integration of climate resilience into OHF programmes, partnerships, operations, and resource mobilization efforts while strengthening OHF’s positioning within Egypt’s climate and sustainable development landscape.Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership and Programme Development Lead the development and implementation of OHF’s Climate Resilience Strategy aligned with AKDN priorities and Egypt Vision 2030. Mainstream climate resilience across programmes, partnerships, and organizational planning. Support development of integrated climate resilience initiatives linking agriculture, livelihoods, biodiversity, renewable energy, and local economic resilience. Identify climate-related funding opportunities and contribute to proposal development and donor engagement. Promote nature-based solutions, regenerative practices, and locally driven resilience models. Programme Implementation and Technical Oversight Provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality implementation of climate resilience interventions. Oversee work plans, implementation schedules, budgets, and performance targets. Conduct regular field visits to monitor programme quality and strengthen community ownership. Ensure compliance with donor requirements, environmental safeguards, and sustainability standards. Promote innovation, learning, and evidence generation of scalable resilience models. Team Leadership and Institutional Strengthening Supervise and mentor the climate resilience team. Build staff capacity through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing. Support integration of gender equality, safeguarding, disability inclusion, and social inclusion across programmes. Develop tools and systems that strengthen climate-resilient programming and institutional learning. Partnerships, Representation, and Policy Engagement Build strategic partnerships with government entities, NGOs, academic institutions, donors, and private sector actors. Represent OHF in climate-related forums, technical working groups, and policy discussions. Collaborate with AKDN agencies and external partners to strengthen learning, innovation, and programme visibility. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting Work closely with ME&L teams to integrate climate-sensitive indicators and data systems. Track programme performance, document lessons learned, and support research and assessments. Prepare high-quality technical and donor reports. The Requirements Qualifications and Experience Master’s degree in Climate Change, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Agriculture, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of professional experience in climate resilience, environmental sustainability, or related sectors. Strong experience in programme management, partnership development, and team leadership. Knowledge of climate adaptation, sustainable livelihoods, ecosystem restoration, and community resilience. Experience working with donors, government stakeholders, and development organizations. Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills in English and Arabic.
