Our mission is to empower communities to grow confidently and sustainably.About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Commissioning Engineer to join our Power Systems team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commissioning, startup, testing, and integration of Caterpillar generator sets and power plant systems, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Caterpillar standards.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute electromechanical installations on-site in line with project designs and specifications.Develop and implement commissioning plans and schedules.Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities according to Caterpillar standards and procedures.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment malfunctions and system faults during installation and commissioning phases.Integrate CAT generator sets with power plant components, including mechanical systems, electrical systems, control systems, synchronization panels, and power distribution equipment.Conduct startup, testing, performance validation, and commissioning of CAT diesel and gas generator sets across various power ratings.Coordinate effectively with customers, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution.Collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Service, and Customer Support teams to ensure successful project delivery.Prepare commissioning reports, test records, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.Deliver operation and maintenance training to customer personnel, ensuring smooth project handover and long-term equipment reliability.RequirementsEducationBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.ExperienceMinimum 3–5 years of experienceExperience with CAT Generator Sets and power plant systems is highly preferred.Technical CompetenciesStrong understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.Working knowledge of diesel and gas engine operating principles.Experience with generator synchronization and power management systems.Familiarity with electrical controls, switchgear, and power distribution systems.Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.Technical report writing and documentation experience.Soft SkillsTime management and organizational skills.Strong communication and customer-facing abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Ownership mindset with strong attention to quality and safety.Core CompetenciesIntegrityTeamworkOwnershipCustomer CentricityLanguagesEnglish((Professional Working Proficiency))
