Job SummaryWe are looking for a Cost Accountant to manage product costing, manufacturing cost analysis, and inventory control. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory valuation, monitoring production costs and variances, supporting financial reporting, and maintaining effective internal controls.Key ResponsibilitiesCost Accounting & Financial AnalysisAnalyze manufacturing costs, including material, labor, and overhead.Perform monthly cost closing activities and reconcile inventory and cost accounts.Analyze production variances and identify root causes.Prepare cost analysis reports and provide recommendations to improve profitability.Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing to ensure accurate product costing.Inventory ControlMonitor daily inventory movements, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.Ensure inventory accuracy by reconciling physical inventory with SAP records.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, negative stock balances, and system inconsistencies.Control raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), semi-finished, and finished goods inventory.SAP & System ManagementProcess and review SAP inventory transactions (Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, Transfer Postings, Physical Inventory, and Adjustments).Monitor and resolve COGI errors in coordination with Production and Supply Chain.Validate production order material consumption and ensure accurate SAP postings.Coordinate with Production and R&D teams to correct BOM discrepancies when required.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Production, Warehouse, Planning, Procurement, and R&D teams to improve operational efficiency.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and manufacturing cost reduction.Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and improve production efficiency.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.ExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience in Cost Accounting, Inventory Control, or Manufacturing Finance.Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting principles and Inventory Management.Experience with SAP (MM, PP, and FI/CO modules is preferred).Strong understanding of inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Knowledge of BOM structures and manufacturing processes.
