Cost Accountant

Job Title: Cost AccountantLocation: Benghazi, LibyaIndustry: ManufacturingEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to analyze, allocate, and report on all production costs across our diverse manufacturing verticals (Furniture, GRC/GRP, Marble, Steel, and Blacksmithing). You will be responsible for determining the exact cost of each fabricated or assembled unit—from raw material intake to final dispatch—specifically for construction clients.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor, analyze, and report on operational and production costs across businessunits.Prepare cost allocation reports, cost analysis, and profitability assessments.Analyze variances between actual and budgeted costs and provide actionablerecommendations.Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to operational and projectcosts.Review inventory valuation, stock movements, and cost control procedures.Maintain accurate cost accounting records and ensure compliance with internalfinancial policies.Assist in developing and improving cost control systems, procedures, and reportingframeworks.Collaborate with operational departments to identify cost optimizationopportunities and improve financial efficiency.Prepare periodic management reports and financial analyses for senior leadership.Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting.Participate in audit activities and ensure proper documentation of financial records.Assist in ERP system enhancements and cost reporting automation initiatives.Requirements & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Cost Management.+5 years of relevant experience in Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, or Management Accounting.3+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing—specifically in metal fabrication, (GRC/GRP), Marble, furniture & wood products,Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.Good communication skills in EnglishWhy Join Us?Be part of a leading holding group with a strong presence in Libya.Work in a challenging and rewarding environment with opportunities for professional growth.Enjoy a competitive salary, benefits, and accommodation.30 days of annual vacation to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
