We have an exciting opportunity for a Country Manager - Egypt with one of our leading FMCG Clients.Job Title: Country Manager - EgyptLocation: CairoExperience: 10+ YearsIndustry: FMCG (Personal Care & Home Care)Role OverviewWe are looking for a Country Lead to spearhead market entry in new geographies and drive distribution expansion in existing ones - building robust trade ecosystems, winning strategic partnerships, and growing the portfolio across channels.This is a high-ownership, entrepreneurial role for someone who thrives on building businesses from the ground up, navigating new markets with agility, and unlocking growth through strong local networks. The ideal candidate will bring deep FMCG distribution expertise, a strong network of importers and distributors, and the ability to lead business growth in assigned markets.Position SnapshotKey ResponsibilitiesMarket Entry & Business BuildingDrive market entry in new geographies by identifying suitable importers/distributors and navigating regulatory requirements.Build distribution networks from the ground up in new markets.Expand and strengthen distribution in existing markets.Develop and execute market-specific go-to-market strategies.Build relationships with key stakeholders across trade, retail, regulatory, and business communities.Distribution & Channel DevelopmentIdentify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard importer and distributor partners.Drive distribution expansion across General Trade, Modern Trade, Wholesale, and E-Commerce channels.Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, margins, trade investments, and partnership agreements.Manage key account relationships with major retail formats.Develop marketplace presence across leading e-commerce platforms.Build Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key partners to drive growth.Category & Portfolio GrowthCollaborate with product and marketing teams to optimize portfolio and category strategy.Drive category visibility, listings, promotions, and customer engagement.Develop trade promotion plans aligned with local market opportunities.Leverage consumer insights and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities.Business Performance & OperationsOwn revenue, profitability, and market development targets.Track performance metrics and implement corrective actions.Coordinate with legal, regulatory, and supply chain teams on compliance requirements.Provide regular market intelligence and business performance reviews.Candidate Profile10+ years of experience in FMCG business development, export sales, distribution management, or category management.Experience within Home Care, Personal Care, or related FMCG categories preferred.Strong network of importers, distributors, wholesalers, and trade partners.Deep understanding of FMCG channels including General Trade, Modern Trade, Wholesale, E-Commerce, and Quick-Commerce.Hands-on experience in distributor onboarding, trade negotiations, and JBP execution.Working knowledge of export documentation, customs processes, and international trade compliance.Experience managing e-commerce marketplaces is an advantage.Bachelor's degree required.Preferred BackgroundProfessionals from leading FMCG organizations with experience in category management, distribution, export sales, or business development within Home Care, Personal Care, or Consumer Goods sectors.
