Egypt Education Platform is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Cover Teacher for Secondary School to join our educational team. This role involves providing high-quality teaching support across various secondary school subjects whenever regular teachers are unavailable. The successful candidate will be able to deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and maintain a positive classroom environment. Main Responsibilities 1. Classroom Management • Supervise and manage assigned classes during teacher absence. • Maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment. • Ensure students follow school rules and behavioral policies. • Handle minor classroom issues and report major concerns to the Head of Section. 2. Academic Responsibilities • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or Head of Department. • Ensure continuity of learning objectives during the absence period. • Support students in completing assigned classwork. • Adapt teaching approach according to students’ level when needed. • Take attendance and maintain accurate class records. 3. Coordination & Reporting • Coordinate with the Section Head (Name XX) or Academic Coordinator (Name XX) regarding daily assignments. • Provide feedback on lesson completion and student behavior. • Report any academic or behavioral concerns. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Effective classroom control and discipline. Smooth continuation of lessons without learning disruption. Positive feedback from Section Heads and Academic Supervisors. Punctuality and availability when assigned. Compliance with school policies and procedures progress. Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents occurring during cover lessons. Tuition Discount for Dependents Medical Insurance for Self Social Insurance Transportation upon availability Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant subject area. • Excellent English • Previous teaching or classroom experience in Primary and/or Secondary education is preferred. • LSAs/Assistants with strong classroom management skills may also be considered. Skills & Competencies • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. • Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and age groups. • Clear communication skills (written and verbal). • Ability to follow lesson plans effectively. • Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies. • Flexibility and ability to work under short notice. • Good organizational and time management skills.
