Job DescriptionRole Overview The Healthcare Technology Lead is responsible for guiding the technical development of DIME’s platform and making sure the system is reliable, secure, and ready to scale in real clinical environments. This role connects product vision with engineering execution, leading the architecture, infrastructure, and quality standards that support a healthcare system handling sensitive clinical data.The position requires a strong understanding of backend systems, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity practices, and modern frontend frameworks, with a focus on building stable and secure health technology.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Technical LeadershipLead the design and development of DIME’s core healthcare platformGuide engineering decisions related to architecture, performance, and scalabilityCoordinate development efforts across backend, frontend, and infrastructure teamsEnsure the platform is prepared to support large numbers of users and clinical data workflowsCloud & InfrastructureManage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including deployment, monitoring, and scalingEstablish and maintain DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and deploymentImplement system monitoring, logging, and performance managementBackend SystemsOversee development of backend services using Node.jsDesign APIs and service architecture that support healthcare workflowsEnsure backend systems are secure, efficient, and well-documentedFrontend CollaborationWork with the product and frontend teams using React.js to build responsive and reliable interfacesEnsure frontend systems integrate smoothly with backend servicesSecurity & ComplianceImplement strong cybersecurity practices suitable for healthcare dataMaintain compliance with data protection and healthcare security standardsEstablish secure authentication, access control, and encryption practicesQuality & Engineering StandardsDefine and maintain software quality assurance standardsImplement testing practices including automated testing and code review processesEnsure stable releases and reliable system performanceRequirementsWhat We’re Looking For6+ years experience in software engineering or technical leadership rolesStrong experience with Node.js backend developmentSolid experience with React.js or modern frontend frameworksHands-on experience managing infrastructure on AWSExperience with DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure management, deployment pipelines)Understanding of cybersecurity practices for cloud applicationsExperience implementing QA standards and software testing practicesPreferred ExperienceExperience working on healthtech platforms or healthcare systemsFamiliarity with healthcare data standards or clinical systemsExperience designing scalable cloud-based architectures
