This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality data by validating product information, identifying new products, and coordinating closely with Field, Commercial, and Retail stakeholders. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and hands-on market awareness across FMCG categories.Role DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesProduct Dictionary & Master File ManagementValidate and regularly update the Product Dictionary (Master File) to ensure accuracy and consistency.Review, clean, and consolidate “Type-In” entries from both Other Brands and Named Brands.Verify product details using photos, ensuring correct mapping of Brand, SKU (Stock Keeping Unit), pack size, and category.Ensure products are correctly classified within relevant categories (e.g., avoiding misclassification such as cakes or biscuits under chocolate).New Product & SKU IdentificationIdentify and validate new brands, new products, and new SKUs for existing brands.Collect detailed information on new product launches from multiple sources, including retail chains, field teams, and Panelists.Track and update changes in product specifications, packaging, and variants over time.Retail & Market EngagementPartner with retail chains to secure permission and access for regular store visits to identify new products across categories.Collect and update product, brand, and SKU information directly from retail outlets.Stay up to date with market trends, category developments, and new launches.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with the Commercial team to source detailed product information from clients, particularly for new launches.Establish and maintain clear communication channels with Field teams (Interviewers and Supervisors) to track Other Brands and new SKUs in Named Brands.Source information on new products from Panelists with the support of Panel teams.Share feedback with Panel teams on errors or inconsistencies identified during Type-In cleaning.Data Quality & GovernanceEnsure timely updates to the Product Dictionary in line with operational timelines.Maintain high data quality standards to support downstream reporting, analysis, and client deliverables.Flag data gaps, inconsistencies, or risks and proactively work towards resolution.Skills & RequirementsProficiency in English (reading and writing) and Arabic (reading and writing).Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.Willingness to travel within Cairo and, when required, across other regions.Good understanding of FMCG products and categories; prior experience in panel, retail, market research, or similar environments is preferred.Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.Good typing speed and accuracy.Comfortable interacting with people, including retail staff, field teams, and internal stakeholders.Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines.Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.Why Join Worldpanel?At Worldpanel we have an integrated way of rewarding our people based around a simple, clear and consistent set of principles.
