About the Role:Jameel Finance is seeking an experienced Data Manager to lead our Data Management function within the Information Technology & Data Management Department.This role is responsible for establishing a high-performing data organization that enables informed decision making, operational excellence, and digital transformation across the business. The Data Manager will lead Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Governance, and Analytics initiatives while building the data foundation required to support future AI capabilities.The successful candidate combines strong technical expertise, business understanding, and leadership skills to transform data into a strategic asset for the organization.Key Responsibilities:Data Strategy & Leadership• Define and execute the organization's data strategy aligned with business objectives.• Lead, mentor, and develop the Data Management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.• Establish operating standards, delivery methodologies, and best practices across all data initiatives.• Manage team capacity, priorities, and performance to ensure successful project delivery.Data Engineering & Platform Management• Own the enterprise data platform, including the Data Warehouse, Operational Data Store, and data integration architecture.• Design and oversee scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure reliable and timely data availability.• Ensure the performance, scalability, security, and availability of data platforms.• Drive continuous improvement of the organization's data architecture.Business Intelligence & Analytics• Partner with business stakeholders to understand analytical and reporting requirements.• Deliver executive dashboards, operational reports, and business insights that support strategic decision making.• Establish consistent KPI definitions and reporting standards across the organization.• Promote self-service analytics and data-driven decision making.Data Governance & Quality• Establish enterprise data governance practices, policies, and standards.• Improve data quality, consistency, integrity, and ownership across business functions.• Define metadata, master data, and data lifecycle management practices.• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.Innovation & Advanced Analytics• Identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytics and AI to improve business performance and operational efficiency.• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical data and AI solutions.• Support the implementation of predictive analytics and intelligent automation initiatives where business value exists.Stakeholder Management• Act as the primary point of contact between IT and business functions for all data-related initiatives.• Work closely with Executive Management, Risk, Finance, Sales, Operations, and Digital teams to prioritize data initiatives.• Translate business challenges into scalable data solutions.Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Management, or Analytics.• Minimum 3 years of experience leading technical teams.• Proven experience delivering enterprise data initiatives from design through implementation.• Experience within Banking, Consumer Finance, Fintech, or other regulated industries is highly preferred.Technical Expertise• Data Warehousing and Data Modeling• SQL and relational databases (Including PostgreSQL)• Experience with ETL/ELT development Tools (Including tools like Air Byte, Air Flow, DBT)• Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI• Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks• API and enterprise system integrations• Performance optimization and data architectureLeadership Competencies• Strong people leadership and coaching skills• Strategic thinking and business acumen• Excellent stakeholder management• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities• Ability to communicate technical concepts to business audiences• Results-oriented with strong planning and execution skills
