Job Summary: The Director of Operational Excellence & Supply Chain will lead the end-to-end supply chain for K Line's clear aligner manufacturing operation in Egypt. This role encompasses demand planning, procurement, production scheduling, inventory management, and global distribution logistics. The successful candidate will design and implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement programs, optimize production workflows, and build a high-performing operations team to drive efficiency and meet global demand.Key Responsibilities:Lead the end-to-end supply chain for K Line's clear aligner manufacturing operation in Egypt, including demand planning, procurement of medical-grade raw materials (polymers, packaging), production scheduling, inventory management, and global distribution logistics.Design and implement a Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement program across the entire production facility, deploying methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, and Value Stream Mapping to eliminate waste and increase throughput.Establish and track key operational KPIs including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), on-time delivery, first-pass yield, scrap rates, cycle time, and cost per unit, driving data-based decision making across the factory.Optimize the clear aligner production workflow from digital treatment planning receipt through 3D printing/thermoforming, trimming, polishing, quality inspection, packaging, and shipping, reducing lead times while maintaining medical device quality standards.Build and manage the strategic supplier network for medical-grade materials, ensuring dual-sourcing strategies, supplier quality agreements, and business continuity plans are in place to prevent supply disruptions.Lead cross-functional process improvement projects with Quality, R&D, and Engineering teams, driving Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives that reduce production costs and improve scalability for growing global demand.Implement and optimize ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) to achieve end-to-end visibility across the supply chain, enabling accurate forecasting, automated replenishment, and real-time production tracking.Develop and manage the annual operational budget, identifying cost reduction opportunities across procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics while maintaining compliance with medical device GMP requirements.Build, train, and lead a high-performing operations team in Egypt, establishing standard work procedures, shift management protocols, skills matrices, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement on the factory floor.Coordinate with international sales and distribution teams to align supply chain capacity with market demand across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and other territories, ensuring seamless order fulfilment and customer satisfaction for K Line's growing clear aligner business. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain and/or operations leadership, including at least 5 years in medical device, pharmaceutical, or another regulated manufacturing environment.Proven track record of implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, or other Continuous Improvement methodologies, with measurable results.Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience managing operational KPIs (OEE, on-time delivery, first-pass yield, scrap rate, cost per unit).Practical experience implementing or optimising ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).Demonstrated ability to build, train, and lead high-performing manufacturing or operations teams.Working knowledge of medical device GMP requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA QSR, or equivalent).Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and project management skills.Experience coordinating supply chain and distribution across multiple international markets.Preferred QualificationsMBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field.Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt certification.Experience in dental, orthodontic, or other precision medical device manufacturing (clear aligners, additive manufacturing/3D printing, thermoforming).Experience scaling operations in a high-growth manufacturing environment.Fluency in English.
