Egypt Senior Solution Engineer

Key Responsibilities:Lead technical engagement with large Independent Power Producers (IPPs), utilities, and strategic key accounts in Egypt for utility-scale PV and BESS projects.Act as the primary technical interface between regional stakeholders and HQ Product, R&D, and System Solution teams, ensuring alignment on large-scale project requirements.Oversee the development and validation of bankable system designs, ensuring compliance with international standards, grid codes, and lender technical requirements.Drive the preparation and review of complex RFQs, tenders, and EPC documentation, ensuring competitive and technically optimized solutions for large-scale projects.Provide strategic technical support during bid/no-bid decisions, project structuring, and commercial negotiations with IPPs and EPC contractors.Lead high-level technical presentations, workshops, and negotiations with clients, consultants, lenders, and regulatory authorities.Ensure successful execution by supervising technical support during project implementation, commissioning, and performance optimization phases.Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders including developers, consultants, utilities, and government entities.Coordinate with internal teams to continuously improve product positioning and adapt solutions to large-scale market requirements.Conduct regular visits to HQ and regional offices to align on product roadmap, innovation, and large-scale project strategies.Degree: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (master’s degree or MBA is a strong advantage).Skills & Requirements:Proven track record in managing technical aspects of multi-MW to GW-scale renewable energy projects.Strong experience in tendering, EPC contracts, and bankability requirements (including interaction with lenders’ technical advisors).Deep understanding of grid integration, interconnection requirements, and energy storage system design.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders across multiple regions.Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical optimization and project profitability.Advanced knowledge of tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and system modeling/optimization software.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging at executive and board level.Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE) and local regulatory frameworks.Willingness to travel frequently within Egypt and internationally (Middle East HQ & China HQ).Fluent in English, Arabic and French.Experience:Minimum 3-5 years of experience in utility-scale PV and/or BESS, with significant exposure to large IPP projects.Nice-to-have:*French Language*Worked as a Solutions Engineer previously.
