Egis Engineering Job DescriptionWe're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical BIM Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating comprehensive Building Information Models (BIM) for electrical systems on complex construction projects. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project model, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance with industry standards.Develop, model, and maintain detailed electrical BIM models using industry-standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent platformsCoordinate electrical systems with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to ensure proper integration and clash-free designsPerform clash detection and resolution analysis, identifying and documenting conflicts between electrical systems and other building componentsGenerate accurate technical drawings, schedules, and documentation from BIM models for construction and coordination purposesEnsure all electrical models comply with local building codes, standards, and project specificationsOrganize and manage BIM data, maintaining model integrity and implementing proper naming conventions and file management protocolsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to deliver coordinated construction documentationAnalyze design requirements and translate them into accurate BIM representationsParticipate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical support to project teamsContinuously update and refine models based on design changes and project requirementsQualifications3-5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, BIM coordination, or related fieldAdvanced proficiency with BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit or equivalent modeling platformsStrong knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, and MEP coordination workflowsSolid understanding of building codes, electrical standards, and construction documentation requirementsDemonstrated experience with clash detection tools and conflict resolution methodologiesProficiency in AutoCAD and other technical drawing softwareExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage complex data and maintain detailed documentationStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detailExperience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams on construction projectsFamiliarity with BIM protocols, standards, and best practicesAbility to interpret technical specifications and architectural/engineering drawingsStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative environmentsExperience with construction project management software is a plusKnowledge of Egyptian building codes and local construction standards is preferred
