Electrical Design Engineer – MV Panels

Design Medium Voltage switchgear and electrical panel solutions based on project requirements.Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.Develop panel layouts, bill of materials (BOM), and manufacturing drawings.Select and size MV electrical components in compliance with IEC standards and project specifications.Coordinate with sales, tendering, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and timely project delivery.Review customer specifications and provide technical clarifications when required.Ensure designs comply with IEC standards, utility regulations, and company quality standards.Provide technical support during panel assembly, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and continuous product improvement initiatives.Prepare and maintain all technical documentation related to assigned projects. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.2–5 years of experience in designing Medium Voltage switchgear/panels.Strong knowledge of MV switchgear, protection systems, relays, CTs, VTs, circuit breakers, busbars, and cable sizing.Good understanding of IEC standards (IEC 62271 series and related standards).Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design.Experience with EPLAN or similar electrical design software is preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Good command of English, both written and spoken.Preferred QualificationsExperience with leading MV switchgear manufacturers (Schneider Electric, Siemens, ABB, Eaton, Lucy, or equivalent).Familiarity with power system calculations and protection coordination.Experience supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
