Job SummaryThe Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all electrical systems and equipment within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role supports continuous production by minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.Troubleshoot electrical faults in production lines, utilities, and HVAC systems.Maintain and repair PLCs, control panels, motors, drives, and instrumentation systems.Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.Support validation and qualification activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) for electrical systems.Monitor power distribution systems, generators, UPS, and backup systems.Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime.Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.Ensure proper calibration and functioning of electrical instruments. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.1-3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry.Strong knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).Familiarity with SCADA systems and automation.Understanding of GMP, FDA, and safety standards is preferred.Ability to read electrical drawings and technical manuals.Skills & CompetenciesStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems.Good communication and teamwork abilities.Attention to detail and compliance mindset.Ability to work under pressure and in shifts if required
