The role involves overall site management, team leadership, coordination with stakeholders, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and delivering the project on time and within budget.Work Location: Saudi ArabiaKey AccountabilitiesLead and manage all electrical site activities for HV/EHV substation projects, ensuring execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and contractual obligations.Oversee the installation of all substation equipment, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, control panels, protection panels, cable trays, earthing systems, and auxiliary equipment.Review and approve engineering drawings, technical specifications, shop drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and work procedures submitted by subcontractors or internal teams.Coordinate closely with design, procurement, construction, QA/QC, HSE, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure seamless project execution and resolve any technical or operational issues.Supervise and monitor cable laying, glanding, termination, testing, and routing activities to ensure compliance with project standards and utility requirements.Ensure proper execution of earthing, grounding, lighting, and auxiliary electrical systems within the substation.Lead site inspections and work with QA/QC teams during material inspection, installation checks, testing activities, and pre-commissioning phases.Prepare and submit daily progress reports, site updates, risk assessments, and technical documentation to the Project Manager or Operations Manager.Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, consultants, utility representatives (e.g., SEC), and subcontractors to resolve site-related issues and ensure alignment on project goals.Lead and support testing and commissioning teams during pre-commissioning, functional testing, energization, and final handover stages.Ensure full compliance with relevant standards and utility requirements, including SEC, IEC, IEEE, BS, and Saudi regulations.Manage and mentor site engineers, supervisors, and foremen, ensuring clear task delegation, performance monitoring, and on-site training.Monitor project progress against schedule and budget, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceWe Are Looking For: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 10–15 years of experience in electrical site management within HV/EHV substation or power infrastructure construction projects, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.Hands-on experience in HV/EHV substations, including voltage levels such as 115 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV, or 380 kV.Deep understanding of substation systems, electrical equipment installation, cable works, earthing systems, protection panels, control systems, and site execution procedures.Strong familiarity with transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, isolators, busbars, control and protection systems, and auxiliary systems.Ability to read, interpret, and approve single-line diagrams, layout drawings, cable schedules, termination drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.Strong knowledge of HSE and quality requirements for electrical construction activities, with proven experience in enforcing safety protocols on site.Proven leadership abilities, including managing multidisciplinary teams, delegating tasks, and driving performance.
