OverviewThe Project & Programme Services (PPS) team is a critical component of the Global Project & Programme Management Office (GPMO). The team delivers predictable and efficient project performance management, reporting, and business intelligence across global portfolios. Operating from the Global Technology Centre (GTC) in India, PPS provides cost‑efficient, agile, and scalable programme services using an onshore–offshore delivery model. Our ambition is to become the global leader in Programme Management Services by building a future-ready, digitally enabled, high-performing team.Your roleWe are seeking a skilled resource with Planning & Project Controls experience to support the successful delivery of critical Projects in Process, Manufacturing & Production Industry, Energy, Pharma. Infrastructure and Transportation sector. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in sectors mentioned utilizing advanced scheduling tools to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with global standards and requirements Responsibility as Engineer I – Project Control for global projects relating to highways, rail, infrastructure, residential and other markets; including pre and post project controls. Ensure that the Atkins Realis processes are applied from bidding and project set up, through to project execution and closure. Collaborate with Project Management team to produce Cost Breakdown Structure based on project Work Breakdown Structure to setup governance requirements in discussion with the Project Manager/s. Support in preparing process and tools to carry out pricing estimates based on project stakeholders' input. Track and analyze the project costs including budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, forecasts, contingencies analysis. Proactively engage regularly with project stakeholders to gather their inputs and get agreement. Demonstrate continuous improvement, automation, lean techniques to bring consistency and efficiencies across projects, programmes and portfolios in project controls, cost and schedule management. Produce forecasts of total project costs, annual costs, and monthly cash flow costs and provides variance analysis and explanations. Carries out an earned value and project performance analysis of the project on a periodic basis. Monitor, control and analyse the project cost and schedule information, identify variances and bring these to the attention of the Project Manager with possible alternatives. Prepare specific reports to facilitate challenge and analysis to meet the project's specific needs. Produce and issue cost reports to the client and project team, including key project indicators. Develop, manage, revise, and update integrated detailed project schedules including all phases of project execution. Proactively analyze project schedules including comparing cost/resource curves to actuals, tracking float consumption, and change order impact analysis to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Support Project managers on proactively raising early warnings and preparing change orders to be submitted to the clients and updates to project controls specific documents Supply chain management to support contract preparation and meet fair payment requirements Support Risk identification and reporting. Expertise in Power BI/Data Analytics Ability to analyze and understand large sets of data (turn this analysis into Actionable steps) and develop customized ad hoc reports. Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives and consistently monitor those. Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models. Analyze current ETL process, define and design new systems. Redefine and make technical/strategic changes to enhance existing Business Intelligence systems. Design, develop and deploy business intelligence solutions as per needs. Use of filters and graphs for better understanding of data. Stakeholder & Client Engagement Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for Project planning & project controls-related discussions. Ensure alignment of all stakeholders on planning, scheduling, and cost objectives. Participate in client meetings, steering committees, and cross‑functional reviews. Maintain strong working relationships to support successful project outcomes. About YouBachelor's degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology or related field. Minimum 3 -5 years of relevant experience in cost control, preferably in major EPCM projects. Professional fluency in English, with strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills. Strong understanding of earned value concepts and calculations. Proficiency in cost management tools such as Ecosys and report preparation skills. Proficient in Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS). Proficient in Budget/Cost Control, Cash flow & Contingency management. Exposure in Cost Change Control. Must have good understanding of CPM (Critical Path Method) concepts and calculations Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments and requirements. Certified Estimating Professional, Certified Cost Professional, Certified Schedule Professional, Project Management Professional or equivalent credential(s) Expert in Microsoft Power BI. Expertise in O365 Apps. Good to have automation skills using Visual Basic or any other s/w.
