This role focuses on delivering a dynamic Social Studies curriculum in English, aiming to develop students' understanding of history, geography, civics, and cultural awareness through engaging lessons.Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver comprehensive Social Studies lessons in English, tailored to the appropriate grade levelsUse varied instructional strategies to engage students and promote critical thinking and active learningAssess student progress and provide timely feedback to support academic achievement and personal growthIncorporate current events and global perspectives to enrich the curriculum and foster awarenessCollaborate with colleagues to align curriculum content and share best practicesSupport extracurricular activities related to Social Studies, such as history clubs or cultural eventsMaintain clear and effective communication with parents and school administrationRequirementsBachelor's degree in Social Studies, Education, History, Geography, or a related fieldProven experience teaching Social Studies in English at the relevant educational levelStrong knowledge of Social Studies curriculum standards and pedagogical techniquesExcellent communication and classroom management skillsAbility to inspire and motivate students to engage with social, historical, and cultural topicsCommitment to continuous professional development and collaborationTeaching certification or relevant qualifications preferredSafeguarding Statement: The safety and well-being of our students are paramount.
