Westview International Language School is seeking a qualified and experienced English Teacher/Head of Department (HOD) for the academic year 26-27. This leadership role involves overseeing the English language department, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and curriculum development, and guiding a team of teachers to achieve academic excellence.Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the English Department to ensure excellence in teaching and learning Develop, implement, and monitor the English curriculum in line with the school's academic standards Support, mentor, and evaluate English teachers through coaching, lesson observations, and performance feedback Monitor students' academic progress and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes Ensure high-quality planning, teaching, assessment, and curriculum delivery across all grade levels Foster a collaborative, innovative, and positive learning environment within the department Coordinate departmental meetings and contribute to whole-school initiatives Work closely with the School Leadership Team to achieve the school's strategic objectives Promote continuous professional development and best teaching practices Ensure compliance with all school policies, safeguarding requirements, and academic expectationsRequirementsBachelor's degree or higher in German Language, Education, or a related fieldProven experience in teaching German and in a leadership role, preferably as a Head of DepartmentStrong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to motivate and inspire both students and staffFamiliarity with curriculum development and assessment techniquesExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a teamSafeguarding Statement: Student safety and well-being are paramount.
