Role PurposeLead and manage the Civil/Architecture estimation function within the Tendering Department by preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for infrastructure projects. Ensure alignment with project specifications, company strategy, and market conditions while supporting successful bid submissions and business growth.Key Accountabilities Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, earthworks, etc.). Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work to ensure full understanding of project requirements. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and planning teams to gather necessary input for estimates. Analyze project risks, opportunities, and constraints to reflect them in pricing strategies. Develop and maintain cost databases, benchmarks, and estimation tools. Manage quantity take-offs and ensure accuracy in all calculations and assumptions. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for completeness and competitiveness. Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project costs without compromising quality. Lead and mentor estimation team members, ensuring high performance and continuous development. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and tendering standards. Participate in bid review meetings and present estimation summaries to senior management. Support post-tender clarifications and negotiations when required. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Architecture Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in Civil/Architecture estimation, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of Civil/Architecture projects. Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., Excel, Primavera, or similar). Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with local market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors is a plus.
