Finance Lead - Full-TimeReports To: Financial ManagerDirect Oversight Of: Accounting Team Warehouse Financial Results Procurement Financial ResultsPosition Purpose: The Finance Lead is responsible for the operational and financial oversight of thecompany's day-to-day finance activities under the supervision of the Financial Manager.The role ensures the accuracy of financial reporting, supervises the accounting team,and monitors the financial performance of both the Warehouse and Procurementdepartments. The Finance Lead analyzes results, identifies risks and variances, andreports findings and recommendations to the Financial Manager to support informedfinancial decision-making.Key Responsibilities1. Financial Management & ReportingOversee the preparation of monthly and periodic financial statements (IncomeStatement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of accounting records withapproved policies and standards.Manage the monthly financial closing process and ensure timely completion.Prepare financial reports and analytical summaries for submission to theFinancial Manager.2. Supervision of the Accounting TeamDirectly supervise the accounting team and assign roles and responsibilities.Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial adjustments.Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to financial procedures.Develop team capabilities and improve reporting quality and efficiency.3. Monitoring & Control of Warehouse ResultsReview and analyze warehouse and inventory reports (quantities, values,turnover).Ensure proper inventory valuation and reconciliation with accounting records.Monitor stocktaking results and investigate inventory variances.Analyze the impact of inventory on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and profitability.Provide periodic reports to the Financial Manager on warehouse performanceand related risks.4. Monitoring & Control of Procurement ResultsReview procurement reports and ensure alignment with approved budgets.Monitor purchase prices, sourcing costs, and their impact on margins.Analyze supplier performance from a cost and compliance perspective.Ensure adherence to purchasing policies and financial approval workflows.Recommend cost optimization and procurement efficiency improvements.5. Cost Control & Internal ControlsMonitor Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and operating expenses.Ensure effective implementation of financial policies and internal controls.Support the Financial Manager in strengthening internal control frameworks.Identify financial and operational risks and escalate them appropriately.6. Coordination & Executive SupportCoordinate between Accounting, Warehouse, and Procurement departments toensure data consistency and integration.Act as the operational finance liaison between the Financial Manager and thedepartments under the finance function.Support the Financial Manager with analytical reports for executive managementand board review.Authority & Decision RightsReview and validate accounting entries and operational financial reports prior toFinancial Manager submission.Request financial and operational data from Accounting, Warehouse, andProcurement teams.Propose improvements to financial policies, procedures, and controls.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (postgraduate degreepreferred).Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are an advantage.Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance or accounting, including supervisoryresponsibility.Proven experience overseeing warehouse and procurement financial controls.Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management.Skills & CompetenciesStrong financial analysis and reporting skills.High attention to detail and control mindset.Leadership and team management capabilities.Strong communication and executive reporting skills.Ability to manage multiple functions under pressure.
