📝 Job Description: Fire Sprinkler EstimatorPosition OverviewThe Fire Sprinkler Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and material takeoffs for fire protection systems, specifically sprinkler installations. This role ensures that bids and proposals are competitive, compliant with industry standards, and aligned with project specifications. The estimator will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to deliver precise and timely estimates that support successful project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP plans to identify fire protection requirementsPerform detailed quantity takeoffs for fire sprinkler systems, including piping, fittings, valves, and equipmentUtilize Autosprink and other digital tools to generate accurate system layouts and estimatesPrepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentationCollaborate with design teams, contractors, and procurement staff to validate estimatesIdentify discrepancies or conflicts in drawings and communicate findings to stakeholdersMaintain estimation records and update cost databases for future projectsEnsure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures🎯 QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)Minimum 2-3 years of experience in fire protection estimating, plan takeoffs, or related construction rolesTechnical SkillsProficiency in Autosprink software for fire sprinkler design and estimationCompetence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF viewing/markup toolsStrong knowledge of fire protection systems, materials, and industry standardsAbility to read and interpret complex architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
