The role will focus on developing & leading the Fleet Safety agenda across both commercial & non-commercial fleet to eliminate significant incidents & ensure continues improvement across all Fleet Safety KPIs & processes. Scope includes 34 DCs across the BU (Pep & 3PL), MEM & HO fleet, with >3,200 vehicles. Further challenges include building & embedding a safe driving culture by raising awareness, engagement & ownership of relevant stakeholder, & extending relatively controlled environment to our vehicles & roads similar to our facilities.ResponsibilitiesLead & align Fleet Safety & fleet operation teams to deliver step change improvements in Fleet Safety KPIs across the different functions (Deployment, Sales, MEM, Facilities). Develop consolidated risk mitigation plans & Zero Harm strategy for fleet operations & ensure resources are availed & well-managed to deliver results Actively stay abreast of latest best practice developments through regular connects with Sector COE, his\her other counterparts in Sector BUs, local & global suppliers. Align on best practice deployment & development of supporting tools required to deliver the aspired performance improvement. Drive standardization & lift & shift of initiatives across BU sites. Identify, align & spend budget (Opex & Capex) in AOP to mitigate/eliminate fleet risks & drive towards Zero Harm through enhancing fleet safety capability & culture. Additionally, ensure consistent financial performance versus AOP. Lead EHS continuous improvement of Fleet Safety Program through monitoring KPIs, trend analysis, benchmarking, auditing & supporting operations in setting action plans & ensuring their implementation. Conduct routine EHS performance reviews & corrective/preventive action plans with relevant functions to highlight critical to EHS risks, monitor action plan closure, share incidetns alerts, etc. Elevate engagement & drive positive performance as per AOP targets & Fleet Safety priorities. Build strong EHS capabilities across Fleet Safety & fleet operation teams. Assess capability, identify gap & execute training & development programs with adequate resources (modules, tools, budget, etc.) for drivers, helpers, supervisors, managers, driving coaches, etc. Liase with key stakeholders (e.g. BU Leadership, HR, Sales, Logistics, Facilities), to align on the communication plan & standardize rollout of key messages. Develop & execute Fleet Safety campaigns to engage key commercial & non-commercial stakeholders (HR, Sales, Logistics, Facilities, GP, Fleet teams). Penetrate total organization levels to embed EHS vision, mission & priorities into their mindset & day to day activities. Identify the right technology to be considered in various types of fleet vehicles based on detailed violation analysis to enable tracking & correction of drivers’ behaviors (speeding, harsh breaking, distracted driving, smoking, etc.). Partner with Fleet Control Tower team to link vehicles to enable 24/7 monitoring, establishing relevant reporting systems, resolving configuration & system issues & hence improvement in drivers’ behavior. Investigate root causes of incidents including all injuries & illness occurring across fleet operations. Identify adequate corrective/preventive actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure incidents are properly & timely reported according to Pepsico standard. Ensure with key stakeholders (Sales, HR, Workshops, etc.) changes are managed under adequate Management of Change (MoC) to ensure compliance with Pep EHS standards.Ensure adequate & robust governance systems are in place to improve performance & ensure regulatory compliance. Ensure periodic reviews/update of existing EHS standards, programs & practices. Ensure timely, effective & objective Performance Management process for their EHS direct reports & their teams. Conducts performance reviews, appraisals & career discussions. Qualifications8+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) experience in a similar industry is requiredExperience in F&B manufacturing environment is preferredProfessional EHS certification is preferredFunctional EHS knowledge in local & international regulatory requirements, EHS technical aspects (fleet, driving & road safety), risk management, behavior-based safety, training, auditing / program review, regulatory agency enforcement, vendor / consultant management, business knowledge requiredBachelor of Science / Engineering is preferredFluent Arabic & English is requiredStrong computer skills & knowledge of Microsoft Office (powerpoint, excel, etc.)
