About The RoleYou will own the full expense cycle across Thndr's group entities, making sure every cost the business incurs is recorded accurately, in the right period, in the right entity, and with the right supporting documentation. The focus is on the judgment-heavy side of expenses: accruals, prepayments, intercompany allocations, and month-end close discipline. Transaction processing is part of the role but not the bulk of it.This role suits someone early in their accounting career who wants to develop into a well-rounded accountant with real exposure to group close, multi-entity consolidation, and IFRS application in a regulated fintech environment.What You'll DoExpense accounting & period-end recognition Record and review expenses across group entities, ensuring proper classification, cost center, and entity coding Ensure expenses are recognized in the correct accounting period in line with the matching principle Prepare and post monthly accruals for unbilled or uninvoiced expenses Maintain and amortize prepayment schedules (SaaS subscriptions, licenses, insurance, rent)Intercompany Transactions Prepare and record intercompany expense allocations and recharges with proper supporting documentation Issue and track intercompany invoices in line with group transfer pricing policies Support reconciliation of intercompany payable and receivable balances across entitiesMonth-end close Own the expense close checklist; ensure all invoices, accruals, and prepayments are posted before the close deadline Perform variance analysis on key expense lines versus budget and prior periods Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for accruals, prepayments, and intercompany balancesVendor invoice processing Review and post vendor invoices to the correct GL account, cost center, and entity Match invoices to approvals before posting Support payment run preparation in line with the approved payment calendar Maintain organized vendor documentation and the vendor master fileControls & audit readiness Maintain audit-ready files for all expense and payables transactions Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls around the procure-to-pay cycle Assist with external audit requests and regulatory inspections related to expensesWhat You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to general ledger and month-end close work Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and IFRS fundamentals (accruals, matching, cut-off) Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, basic formulas) Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines Fluency in English (written and spoken)Who Are We?Thndr was founded on a bold dream to democratize access to investing through smart tech and human-centric design.
