We’re changing this by enabling all consumers to instantly receive credit within minutes at their favorite merchants.Job ScopeThe General Ledger (GL) Section Head is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the GLaccounting team, enspxuring the highest level of accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the company’sfinancial records. This role acts as a strategic bridge between operational data entry and executivefinancial analysis, leading month-end and year-end closing processes, maintaining robust internalcontrol systems, and preparing complex financial statements in strict compliance with relevantaccounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, review, and formally approve all manual journal entries, complex adjustments, accruals,and statutory provisions.Maintain, govern, and routinely update the corporate Chart of Accounts (COA) to match operationalevolution.-Oversee cross-border/intercompany transactions, invoicing allocation, and balance cross-reconciliation processing.Review monthly balance sheet adjustments and multi-currency bank reconciliations, proactivelyresolving variances.Lead, structure, and orchestrate the month-end and year-end financial closing cycles against tightinstitutional deadlines.Prepare the monthly corporate Trial Balance and draft full-disclosure Financial Statements (BalanceSheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) conforming to proper regulatory frameworks.Serve as the primary designated point of contact for internal, external, and government taxauditors; preparing high-quality audit workpapers smoothly.Collaborate seamlessly with tax consultants to guarantee all corporate financial transactions(Corporate Tax, WHT) are recorded precisely within legal statutory deadlines.Job Requirements And QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accrediteduniversity.Professional Experience: Minimum 6 to 9 years of absolute financial accounting experience.
