The organization operates with a strong emphasis on compliance, performance, and accountability, ensuring that all campaigns remain effective, policy-aligned, and optimized for continuous growth.LocationFully remote | 9 AM - 5 PM ESTRole OverviewThe Google Ad Grant Manager will be responsible for managing the organization’s Google Ad Grant account end to end, ensuring it remains active, compliant, and high-performing at all times. This role is focused on maintaining strict adherence to program policies while optimizing campaigns to fully utilize available ad credits and drive meaningful results.Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance ManagementMaintain compliance with all active Google Ad Grant policies, including the 5% account-wide CTR requirement, conversion tracking, keyword quality standards, and website requirementsEnsure no violations such as low-quality keywords, improper domains, or non-compliant landing pagesMonitor account health continuously to prevent suspension risksActive Account ManagementLog into the account daily to monitor performance and compliancePerform meaningful optimizations (new ads, keyword updates, bid adjustments) at least every 7 daysKeyword ManagementBuild and maintain multi-word keyword lists aligned with the organization’s missionRemove or prevent single-word, overly generic, or low-quality keywordsCampaign Structure & OptimizationMaintain at least two ad groups per campaign and two ads per ad groupConfigure sitelink extensions and other ad assets to meet policy minimums and improve performanceConversion TrackingSet up and maintain at least one active conversion action (e.g., donations, sign-ups, volunteer inquiries)Ensure verified conversions are recorded at least every 10 daysUtilize smart bidding strategies as requiredWebsite & Domain ComplianceCoordinate with the web team to ensure the website meets requirements (HTTPS, fast loading speed, no broken links, updated content)Ensure all ad destinations use approved, organization-owned domainsObtain Google approval for any additional domainsProgram MaintenanceComplete the required annual Google Ad Grant program surveyEnsure no AdSense ads appear on landing pages receiving grant trafficMaintain alignment between campaigns and the organization’s nonprofit missionReportingProvide weekly performance reports covering CTR, conversions, spend utilization, and compliance statusQualificationsExperienceDemonstrated experience managing Google Ads accounts, ideally including Google Ad Grant accountsSkillsGoogle Ads certification preferred (Search or equivalent)Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 and conversion tracking setupStrong understanding of keyword research, quality scores, and search intentAbility to write concise, mission-aligned ad copyStrong attention to detail with the ability to monitor and maintain compliance requirementsAnalytical mindset with the ability to track performance and optimize campaignsOrganized and consistent in managing ongoing account activityPassion for the organization’s mission and ability to translate programs into effective search campaignsWhat Success Looks LikeThe Google Ad Grant account remains active with no suspensions or compliance issuesFull utilization of the $40,000/month credit to drive mission-aligned trafficConversion tracking is active, accurate, and consistently generating resultsLeadership receives clear, regular updates on performance and compliance statusOpportunityThis role offers the opportunity to fully own and scale a high-impact digital marketing channel within a mission-driven organization.
