About The RoleAs the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy and performance. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business performance analysis while partnering closely with senior leadership to provide insights that support key business decisions.This role combines strategic thinking with strong analytical capabilities. You will be responsible for developing financial plans, evaluating business opportunities, identifying risks and growth opportunities, and ensuring that financial resources are effectively aligned with Octane's objectives.What You'll Be DoingLead the annual budgeting and strategic planning processes across the organization.Develop and maintain short-term and long-term financial forecasts.Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports to senior leadership.Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights on business performance.Lead financial modeling, scenario planning, and investment analysis to support strategic initiatives.Partner with department heads to support planning, resource allocation, and business decision-making.Identify financial risks, opportunities, and efficiency improvement initiatives.Support pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and cost optimization initiatives.Enhance financial reporting processes, dashboards, and business intelligence capabilities.Drive continuous improvement across financial planning and performance management processes.Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A team to ensure high performance and professional growth.Key Areas of OwnershipFinancial Planning & BudgetingForecasting & Business Performance AnalysisStrategic Finance & Financial ModelingManagement Reporting & Executive InsightsProfitability & Cost OptimizationFinancial Risk AssessmentKPI Development & Performance ManagementWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.MBA, CMA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.10+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, Strategic Finance, or related functions.Minimum 7 years of experience leading finance teams.Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business partnering.Advanced analytical and financial problem-solving capabilities.Strong understanding of financial statements, performance metrics, and business drivers.Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial reporting tools, and ERP systems.Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools is highly preferred.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to influence decision-making and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strategic mindset with strong attention to detail and execution capabilities.
