We partner closely with governments and school systems to scale our solutions and reach the world’s most vulnerable learners.🎓 Darsel has helped 400,000+ students learn math since launching from Harvard and Stanford in 2021, largely as a result of government partnerships in Jordan, India, and Nigeria. We’re on track to meaningfully impact millions of students in the coming years.The Role🔎 Darsel is seeking a Head of Programs to oversee and guide Darsel’s global programs and government partnerships (including in Jordan, India, and Nigeria). This role will also lead our growth and expansion strategy and drive efforts to strengthen program implementation in order to maximize learning impact for students.🤝 The Head of Programs will work very closely with Darsel's founder/CEO and country directors, and will also work with the broader organization to ensure that programs have the necessary resources and support.🌐 The role is remote-first with no geographic requirement, though working from or regularly visiting one of our program locations (especially Jordan) is an advantage.⚠️ The Head of Programs will lead a newly-established central unit that manages and supports global programs. Applicants may also be automatically considered for the Program Coordinator role. Titles, responsibilities and team composition may be adjusted based on candidate profiles.What You’ll Work On1. 🚀 Strategy & GrowthLeading the development and implementation of Darsel’s growth strategy, including prioritizing new markets, exploring new partnerships, and designing new programs.Leading efforts to launch new partnerships, including government engagement, research, budget preparations, interim program leadership, and recruiting and onboarding new country directors.Representing Darsel with external stakeholders, including engaging senior government officials, presenting at global conferences, and engaging with donors.2. 🎯 Strategic and Managerial SupportSupporting planning and project management efforts by identifying tasks and deadlines, operationalizing tracking through regular standups and reporting, and proactively addressing bottlenecks to ensure on-time delivery.Monitoring program impact and facilitating performance reviews to identify, design, and oversee experiments aimed at improving program effectiveness.Documenting learnings to facilitate cross-program collaboration and ensure the consistent application of best practices across all geographies.Assisting in the development of strategic program documents, including impact reports, expansion plans, and fundraising material.Supporting capacity building, professional development and performance management efforts within country teams.3. 💪 Operational SupportSupporting program teams with the adoption and operation of internal data systems, including student and classroom account management systems, reporting systems, content management systems, certification systems, investigation tools, and online dashboards.Serving as the primary liaison between program, content, and engineering teams to define technical requirements, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of issue tracking and escalations.Drafting and updating program implementation materials, including student and teacher guides, instructional videos, program posters, training presentations, and government correspondence.Supporting various administrative functions, including hiring, onboarding, offboarding, reporting, budgeting and compliance processes.About YouMission-Driven: Deeply motivated by Darsel’s goal to improve learning outcomes for millions of students in low- and middle-income countries.Experienced in Program Leadership: Bringing 8-15+ years of experience in program leadership or project management, ideally within international development, education, or similar stakeholder-heavy sectors.Data-Fluent: Highly comfortable with data systems and analysis, with strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and previous exposure to data visualization software.Tech-Savvy: Quick to master new software and deeply interested in exploring and adopting emerging technologies, including generative AI, to improve workflows and program effectiveness.Action-Oriented: A proactive "builder" who defines milestones, identifies required tasks, and rigorously tracks progress to ensure everything remains on schedule.Detail-Oriented: Possessing obsessive attention to detail and a commitment to rigorous follow-through to ensure no task is overlooked or forgotten.Globally Minded: Culturally curious and respectful, with a proven ability to work effectively across diverse contexts, particularly in Jordan, India, or Nigeria.Exceptional Communicator: A precise listener and writer capable of establishing clarity and alignment across various mediums, ranging from team meetings and Slack messages to the polished impact reports.Arabic Proficient (Optional): Professional knowledge of Arabic is a plus and would be highly valuable.ProcessInterested candidates should apply through the following link:https://airtable.com/appS7o2XlGcxgkJGE/pagvMKwJGqyCN1Jln/formInterviews are conducted on a rolling basis.
