Health and Safety Engineer

The Health and Safety Engineer at Nawy Real Estate is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment across all company projects and operations. This role involves identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.Key Responsibilities:Develop and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with regulatory requirementsConduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites and facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliancePerform risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate identified safety risksInvestigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrenceProvide health and safety training and awareness programs to employees, subcontractors, and site personnelMonitor adherence to safety regulations and conduct periodic reviews to update safety management systemsCollaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and executionStay updated with industry safety standards, laws, and best practices to enhance the company's safety cultureRequirementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field3+ years of experience in health and safety engineering, preferably within construction or real estate developmentStrong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations and standardsCertification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirableExcellent risk assessment and incident investigation skillsEffective communication and training skillsAbility to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teamsStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
