Job Purpose:Lead and oversee all health, safety, and environmental activities across construction sites to ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards, maintain a safe working environment, prevent workplace incidents, promote safety awareness, and support successful project execution through effective risk management and safety control measures.Main job duties and responsibilitiesDevelop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and control measures across construction sitesMonitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies across all project sitesPerform regular site inspections to detect potential hazards and unsafe work practicesInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports with corrective actionsEnsure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools by all employees and contractorsCoordinate emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, and firefighting systems on siteFollow up the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to reduce workplace risksEnsure availability and proper maintenance of firefighting equipment, first aid kits, and emergency systemsEnsure safe storage and handling of hazardous materials and chemicals on siteEnsure all safety signs, warnings, and instructions are clearly displayed at construction sitesMaintain health and safety records, reports, and documentation in line with company and legal requirementsCoordinate with project teams to ensure safe execution of construction activities and compliance with HSE standardsMaintain records of accidents, inspections, training sessions, and corrective actions for audit purposesPrepare periodic health and safety reports and submit recommendations for continuous improvementSupport internal and external health and safety audits and inspectionsPerform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job’s specialtyJob requirements:Educational background and previous experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.Minimum 7 years of experience in health and safety.Professional certification in Health and Safety (e.g., IOSH, OSHA) is a Must.Professional certification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH) is preferred.
