HSE Section Head

The HSE Section Head is responsible for leading Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives within our construction projects to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. This role requires a proactive approach to creating a safe work environment, while promoting a culture of safety among all employees and stakeholders.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop, implement, and manage HSE policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, ensure compliance, and implement corrective actions as necessary.Deliver comprehensive HSE training and orientation to employees and contractors regarding health and safety standards, procedures, and emergency protocols.Analyze incident reports and statistics to identify trends, develop action plans to mitigate risks, and enhance overall safety performance.Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring timely reporting of incidents and compliance with environmental policies.Lead investigations into accidents and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for management.Collaborate with project management teams to integrate HSE practices into project planning and execution phases.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and awareness regarding health, safety, and environmental initiatives within the workforce.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in the construction industry.In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and practices relevant to the construction sector.Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.Proven track record of developing effective HSE strategies and implementing safety programs.Exceptional communication and leadership skills to drive a culture of safety among diverse teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks and propose solutions.
