• Conduct comprehensive strategic business development, including identification of market opportunities, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation of institutional/governmental partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances. • Spearhead investment activities: perform advanced financial analysis, including discounted cash flow (DCF) modeling, scenario planning, and evaluations for mergers, acquisitions, project financings, and equity investments. • Provide C-level representation at executive forums, regulatory consultations, industry conferences and bilateral negotiations with governments • Undertake rigorous research and intelligence gathering on global commodities markets, mining/metals supply chains, geopolitical risks, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) frameworks, and regulatory developments to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations.• Develop and maintain a robust deal pipeline, preparing detailed investment memoranda, pitch presentations, feasibility studies, and term sheets in collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., legal, operations, treasury). • Monitor macroeconomic indicators, commodity price volatility, and competitive landscapes to advise on portfolio optimization, hedging strategies, and entry into emerging markets. • Contribute to board-level reporting on business development metrics and investment performance. • Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a quantitative discipline from a reputable institution is preferred • Professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent highly desirable • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate development, with exposure to mining, metals, natural resources, or heavy industrials. • Prior exposure to institutional investors, sovereign funds, investment banks, and C level advisory roles. Technical and Analytical Competencies: • Mastery of financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel advanced functions, VBA, Python for data analysis), research platforms (Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv Eikon, S&P Capital IQ), and visualization software (Tableau, Power BI). • Proficiency in economic forecasting, valuation methodologies (e.g., comparable company analysis, precedent transactions), and quantitative risk assessment.
