1. BASIC FUNCTIONa) Manages communication system infrastructure (network and voice).b) Acts as administrator / 2nd line of support and provides technical services for problem determination and resolution for the communication system. Establishes and enforces procedures for proper usage of communication equipment. Provides input toward the bank’s communication system architecture and strategic planning.c) Responsible for the implementation of new strategic communication facilities.2. WORK PERFORMED & MAJOR DUTIESa) Responsible for implementation of communication system changes.b) Responsible for administration and development of network infrastructure services performed on data network devices such as core and edge routers and switches.c) Responsible for administration of voice and telecommunication systems, including (CCM, Unity, PRI, Recording System), and their integration with Bank-International entities.d) Responsible for communication system asset management, including devices and components inventory, related documentation, technical specifications, and configuration backup and recovery.e) Responsible for investigating network status to prevent downtime and performing troubleshooting as required to optimize network performance and cost-effectiveness.f) Responsible for daily communication system support tasks (activity monitoring, end-system modifications) and ensuring adequate performance in problem analysis and fault resolution using monitoring programs and tools.g) Establishes and implements network security policies, procedures, and standards to comply with industry information security standards and adhere to BankGroup policies.h) Analyzes communication system logs to identify hardware, software, and security issues and provides mitigation mechanisms.i) Identifies and rectifies, as far as possible, any faults (hardware/software) in the communication system and acts as the last resort before reporting to maintenance/support providers.j) Manages reports regularly, discussing the effectiveness of telecommunication and security infrastructure and proposing possible future strategies.k) Oversees new and existing equipment, including hardware and software upgrades.l) Manages network performance analysis and application usage, and plans for growth and increased communication system capacity. Ensures resources are used efficiently and do not exceed available limits.m) Undertakes necessary research and training to gain thorough knowledge of relevant security and communication trends and technologies.n) Performs any other related duties as assigned.
