Job SummaryThe IT Security Operations Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and maintaining the organization’s security infrastructure to protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The role involves incident response, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices.ResponsibilitiesMonitor security systems, alerts, and events to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats.Manage and maintain security tools including SIEM, firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, and email security systems.Investigate security incidents and perform root cause analysis.Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.Ensure secure operation of IT infrastructure, servers, networks, and applications.Support identity and access management processes.Implement and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.Prepare incident reports, security documentation, and operational reports.Collaborate with internal IT teams to improve security posture and operational efficiency.Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.3–5 years of experience in IT security operations or cybersecurity.Strong understanding of network security, system administration, and cybersecurity principles.Experience with SIEM solutions, firewalls, endpoint security, and security monitoring tools.Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident-handling skills.Good communication and teamwork abilities.Technical Skills Security Monitoring Incident Response Vulnerability Management Network Security Threat Analysis Problem SolvingDocumentation & Reporting
