Position OverviewThe Junior Negotiations Specialist provides administrative and operational support to the Negotiations Department within a debt settlement organization. This role assists negotiators with documentation, client communication, and settlement follow-ups while learning the settlement negotiation process.This position is designed as a training pathway to become a full Debt Settlement Negotiator. Junior Negotiators gain exposure to creditor communication, settlement procedures, and client management while supporting the overall negotiation workflow.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Junior Negotiations Specialist supports negotiators and assists with the settlement process by performing the following duties:Conduct 90-day program check-in calls with clients to review program progress and confirm continued participation.Send and track Power of Attorney (POA) documentation to creditors and collection agencies.Follow up with creditors to obtain settlement agreement letters that have not been received.Follow up with clients to obtain approval on negotiated settlement offers.Update and maintain CRM records with settlement notes, creditor communication, and account status updates.Assist negotiators with preparing settlement documentation and account summaries.Monitor accounts that are ready for negotiation based on funding levels and program progress.Track and follow up on pending settlement offers and documentation requests.Maintain accurate and organized client and creditor documentation.Assist with settlement payment coordination and documentation verification.Track outstanding creditor documentation requests and follow up when needed.Support compliance and documentation standards within the settlement process.
