The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable backend applications, developing financial modules, integrating APIs, and maintaining secure and efficient database structures.You will work closely with the product and development teams, as well as with the Accounting Professionals to create reliable accounting and business management solutions that support real estate and business operations. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend applications using Laravel and PHP Design and implement accounting and financial management modules Build APIs and integrate third-party services and payment gateways Develop features for invoicing, expenses, commissions, reporting, and transaction tracking Optimize database architecture and application performance Ensure security, scalability, and data integrity across the platform Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and project managers Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing systems Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented codeQualifications & SkillsMinimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Laravel and PHP development Strong understanding of accounting systems, bookkeeping workflows, and financial reporting Experience developing modules for invoices, ledgers, reconciliations, taxes, commissions, and expenses Proficiency in MySQL, REST APIs, and database optimization Experience with authentication, security standards, and role management Strong knowledge of Git/version control workflows Familiarity with cloud hosting environments and server management Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Strong problem-solving and communication skills in English Available to start immediately is an asset Preferred SkillsExperience with CRM or ERP systems Knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or accounting API integrations Familiarity with Vue.js or React frontend integration Experience working on SaaS platforms and multi-user systems
