This role is pivotal in enhancing literacy practices within our school and supporting educators in delivering effective reading instruction across all grade levels.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with teachers to assess students' literacy needs and implement strategies to improve their reading skills and comprehensionCreate and facilitate professional development workshops focused on best practices in literacy and reading instructionMonitor student progress through data analysis and provide tailored support and interventions for struggling readersDesign engaging literacy programs and resources that promote a love for reading and accommodate diverse learning stylesSupport the implementation of school-wide literacy initiatives and curricula to enhance student learning experiencesEngage with families to promote literacy practices at home, providing resources and strategies for supporting reading developmentStay updated on current research and trends in literacy education and share insights with faculty and staffRequirementsBachelor's degree in Education, Literacy, or a related fieldA minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in literacy or reading instructionPrior experience as a literacy coach or in a similar instructional support role is highly desirableStrong understanding of literacy development and effective teaching practices tailored to diverse learnersExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, educators, and parentsAbility to analyze assessment data and develop targeted strategies for improvementPassion for fostering a love of reading and supporting student achievement in literacySafeguarding Statement: The safeguarding and well-being of our students is paramount.
