We are hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer (Water & Wastewater Infrastructure)LocationZahra El MaadiWork conditionsSunday to ThursdayBenefitsCompetitive salarySocial & Medical insuranceJob PurposeThe Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical designs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pumping stations, water treatment plants, and wet utility networks, ensuring compliance with international standards and project requirements.Key Responsibilities1. Design & EngineeringDesign mechanical systems for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pumping stations, treatment plants, and pipeline systems.Develop detailed design solutions for mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, filtration systems, HVAC systems, and related components.Prepare and review mechanical design deliverables, including P&IDs, layouts, and technical specifications.Ensure designs are optimized for efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.2. Equipment Selection & SpecificationsSelect and specify mechanical equipment (pumps, valves, compressors, etc.) based on project requirements.3. Coordination & Project IntegrationCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, ICA) to ensure full integration of mechanical systems.Participate in design reviews and technical meetings with clients and stakeholders.Support project planning by contributing to scope, schedule, and resource estimation.4. Compliance & StandardsEnsure all designs comply with international standards and codes such as ASHRAE, ASME, ISO, and local Saudi regulations.Stay updated with the latest practices and regulations related to wet utility and water infrastructure projects.5. Sustainability & InnovationIntegrate energy-efficient and sustainable design practices into mechanical systems.Propose innovative solutions to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs.General ResponsibilitiesPerform any additional tasks assigned by the direct manager within the scope of work.Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.Minimum EducationBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience7-10 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.Proven experience in water & wastewater (wet utilities) projects is a must.Experience in pumping stations and treatment plants is highly preferred.Technical SkillsProficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks (or equivalent).Strong knowledge of:Pumping systemsPiping designHVAC systemsFamiliarity with international codes and standards related to water infrastructure.Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detailAbility to work in a multidisciplinary teamStrong communication skillsWell-organized with a proactive mindsetNice to Have (Preferred)Previous experience working on Saudi-based projectsExperience in consultancy firms
