Managing Workflow:managing a team of mechanical and electrical engineers and their below supervisors. Often, supervisors create and oversee their team’s workflow, or the tasks required to complete a job. The MEP section head must define goals, communicate objectives, and monitor team performance.Operation and Maintenance:"MEP section head" is to check and follow-up on daily operation features and observe any deviation from normal operation conditions, passing by preventive and corrective maintenance and commitment to site strategy.Assets and technical scope:Medium and low voltage systems, UPS, ATS, MDB's, chillers, A/C, AHU's, plumbing, firefighting, pumps, and generators.responsible for reporting team and individual performance to human resources and senior management. Also, to evaluate each member of his team and record employee punctuality, performance on goals, professionalism, disciplinary issues, adherence to company policies, and more. May also be required to develop and administer performance improvement plans.Evaluating performance and providing feedback:Managers are often tasked with developing or executing employee feedback and recognition programs. This responsibility might include setting employee and team goals and choosing appropriate rewards for achievements. For example, if a salesperson exceeds their monthlyquota, they may be eligible for a bonus. This time should also be used to provide both positive and constructive feedback.Training:When a new engineer joins the team, the MEP Section should help them understand their role and support them during their transition. This might include providing workplace orientation and explaining company policies or job duties. The MEP Section head may manage all onboarding activities or may work with the human resources department to make sure the new hire receives the guidance, benefits, and information they need to further make training sessions after passing the probationary period on system features and site-specific properties.Helping to resolve employee issues and disputes:When employees are unhappy with their workplace experience, they may approach their MEP Manager before speaking with HR. Supervisors must use active listening skills to understand employee complaints and to work with them to reach a solution.
