MEP Section Head

The MEP Section Head will lead the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines for large-scale construction projects, ensuring all work meets client specifications, industry standards, and sustainability goals. This role requires exceptional leadership, design oversight, and technical expertise to drive project success and foster collaboration across teams.RESPONSIBILITIESLead the MEP engineering team in the planning, design, and execution of MEP systems for commercial and residential projects.Ensure all MEP designs comply with local codes, regulations, and industry best practices.Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for MEP components.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to designs, addressing any issues in real-time.Liaise with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives and deliverables.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, fostering their professional development.Review and approve MEP submittals, shop drawings, and change orders before finalization.Implement innovative strategies for energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost reduction in MEP systems.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering (Master's preferred).Minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP engineering within the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.Proficient in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, and HAP).Strong understanding of applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.Experience with sustainable building practices and energy-efficient systems is a plus.Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
